Staff - Rabbi Aharon Frazer and Aryeh Kaplan
Rabbi Aharon Frazer is the founder of Orach Mishor. Rabbi Frazer has taught in Israel at Yeshivat Hamivtar and other yeshivot, rabbinic training programs, and seminaries. Together with his wife Adena, he served as the JLIC Torah Educator at Brandeis University from 2003-2007. He has also worked on the several Jewish educational techonolgy projects, such as Mikra Gesher, an online resource for the study of Tanach used widely in the Israeli public school system, and The Lookstein Center, which provides resources for Jewish educators worldwide. In addition to his work at Orach Mishor, Rabbi Frazer is the chief technology officer of Five Blocks Inc., an online marketing company based near Kibbutz Migdal Oz.
Aryeh Kaplan is a Shoel Umeshiv at Orach Mishor. He is available online to assist students with perparation, on a US Pacific Time schedule.
He is currently the OU's JLIC (Jewish Learning Initiative on Campus) Educator at the Hillel at UCLA. For the past four years he has grown the Orthodox student community and serviced their needs through shiurim, mentorship, chevrutot and Shabbat and holiday programming.
Aryeh is originally from Teaneck, NJ. From 1997-2004 he studied at Yeshivat Har Etzion and Yeshiva University. He currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife Sharona and their children, Shalva, Barak, and Rivki.
In his spare time, Aryeh enjoys pursuing interesting investment opportunities and playing tennis.
